The Default User ID is available at all of your wash sites. The Default user automatically populates the User ID and Password fields within the WashConnect® log on page. When the Default user and password are populated, pressing the Log On button will log you on to WashConnect as the Default user. The Default user will have very limited menu access, however, there are some menu functions where logging on as the Default user is all that would be needed to gain access.
The Default User can be used for a few different scenarios:
- When your employees access the Time Clock function (clock in/clock out) within WashConnect, the Default user will grant access for this function.
- Certain devices, such as Touch Entrance Management System or the Touch IT (Input Terminal), typically do not have a mouse or keyboard plugged into them. Using the Default user allows the user to easily select the Log On button and be logged on to WashConnect. Using this setting allows the WashConnect user to open up Stack Management without having to type in a username and password.
NOTES:
- The Default user log on can be used to start up WashConnect, however, very few of the menu items available on the right side will have full access. When attempting to use a menu item that is not set up with a privilege for the Default user, an override dialog box appears, prompting the user to provide their log on information. To gain access to that menu, the User ID and password need to be entered to have access permission.
- If you never want to automatically populate the form when WashConnect is first opened with the Default User, then this feature can be disabled. From System Setup/Devices/Settings menu, the Global Configuration setting of WashConnectDefaultLogin can be enabled (set to True) or disabled (set to False). If it's enabled, it will be enabled in all instances of WashConnect at your site. If it's disabled, it will be disabled in all instances of WashConnect at your site.
