Ticket Generation for 5-digit Wash Codes

You can generate paid and unpaid 5-digit wash codes at your local wash site; codes which can only be redeemed at your local wash site . At Corporate logon with internet access, you can generate unpaid 6- and 9- digit tickets only. At the site level logon, you can generate 6- and 9-digit paid and unpaid tickets that are available at all of your sites. Ticket numbers or wash codes are unique.  After the code is redeemed, that code cannot be used again.

Follow these steps at the Touch POS, to generate 5-digit wash codes or tickets:

  1. Open WashConnect®.
  2. At logon screen, select the wash site.
  3. On the Touch POS menu, click Open Shift.
  4. From the Touch POS sales screen, select the TicketGen button.

The message Please select services for ticket generation appears at the top of the POS Sales Screen.

  1. Select a base wash service for ticket generation.
  1. Select the Generate button.
    The Generate Ticket dialog box appears.

  1. Click to select Local.
  2. The Type of Ticket box is dim. You cannot change the Local Tickets selection.
  3. In Ticket Status box, select Unpaid or Paid.

NOTE: If selecting Paid, be prepared to accept payment in the cash drawer.

  1. Choose the order of wash codes for the ticket: Random or Consecutive, if global.

Select the Random Ticket check box for randomly generated wash code numbers.  This is recommended to prevent theft.
If Random Ticket is checked, the Start box will not appear.

Clear the Random Ticket box to activate consecutive numbering.

  • In the Starting Ticket Number box, type the first wash code number, and then the wash codes generate in sequential order. Type any starting 6-digit wash number between 100,000 and 999,999.
  1. In the How Many Tickets box, type an amount of tickets, and press the check mark button.
  2. In the Number of Days Ticket is Valid For box, type the amount of days the wash codes will remain valid from the original wash code generation date. Maximum is 999 days. The default is 3 days. Then press the check mark  button.
  3. Click the Generate Tickets button.
    A warning message appears restating how many tickets are going to print as well as days to expiration.
  4. Click OK.
    A message Tickets successfully generated appears.
  5. If correct, click OK.
  6. If you receive the "Do you want to open or save report?" message, click Open.
    Microsoft® Excel opens with the generated wash codes that are valid immediately.
    In Microsoft Excel, on the File menu, select Save As.
  7. Customers cannot redeem wash codes at the Auto Sentry® until you adjust the Auto Sentry settings.

Customers cannot redeem wash codes at the Auto Sentry until you save the Auto Sentry settings -> TouchConfiguration -> MainOptions Allow Code = True.
