Billing Day

The next billing day for customers purchasing a club membership can be configured with the Billing Day setting. Changing this setting will not immediately effect current members of that club until the next billing day.

To select a Billing Day for a Club Service:

  1. Open WashConnect, in the Region(s) panel, select Corporate, region, or the local site, and then click the Log In button.
NOTE: When logged in at the Corporate location, the entire Corporate structure will be available. When logged in at a site level, only that site will be available for selection.
  2. Select Configuration > Goods and Services > Club Services.
  3. Click to select the Wash Club Service, and then click the Edit button.
    -or-
Click the Add button to create a new Wash Club Service.
  4. In the Billing Day box, select one of the following options:
First Day - This setting sets the next billing day for a customer as the first day of the next calendar month, regardless of whether the club was purchased on the 1st or the 25th of the month.
  5. Due to this, any site that wants to use this method must first enable Prorating within WashConnect settings, and set the Floor Price within each Club Service to the lowest amount they will sell the club service during the first month, if the club is being purchased during the last few days of the month.
  • First Day -  Always autobills the first day of every month.  Always the same day of the month as the initial purchase.  Prorating needs to be selected in the Settings, and a Floor Price needs to be set for each Club Service. The first month charge can be prorated if not purchased on the 1st of the month.
  • Renewal Day - Same day of the month as the initial purchase day unless the customer renews after expiration, then same as renewal day.  This billing day will change if the customer renews their membership after the expiration date. Prorating or Grace Periods are not necessary for Renewal Day. This setting is generally the easiest for club customers to understand and accept.
  • Signup Day - This sets the next billing day for the same day of the month as the initial purchase day of the month. This billing day will not change if the customer renews their membership after the expiration date. Due to this, a Grace Period should be defined for each club membership that will have a Signup day configured. Grace Period defines how many days a customer can still use their membership after their expiration date has passed. The exact value for this setting is up to the discretion of the car wash's business manager.
