Ticket Generation for 5-digit Wash Codes

You can generate paid and unpaid 5-digit wash codes at your local wash site.

Generate multi-site or single-site tickets. Local tickets will be 5-digit codes that do not replicate up to corporate. The local tickets will only be redeemable at the local site that created them.

At the Corporate level logon, you can generate 6- and 9-digit paid and unpaid tickets that are available at all of your sites. Ticket numbers or wash codes are unique.  After the code is redeemed, that code cannot be used again.

Follow these steps at the Touch POS, to generate 5-digit wash codes or tickets:

  1. Open WashConnect.
  2. At logon screen, select the wash site.
  3. On the Touch POS menu, click Open Shift.
  4. On the Touch POS sales screen, select the TicketGen button.

The message Please select services for ticket generation appears at the top of the POS Sales Screen.

  1. Select a base wash service for ticket generation.
  1. Select the Generate button.
The Generate Ticket dialog box appears.

Select the Random Ticket check box for randomly generated wash code numbers.

NOTE: Consecutive numbering is no longer available to prevent theft.

A warning message appears restating how many tickets are going to print as well as days to expiration.

  6. If you receive the "Do you want to open or save report?" message, click Open.
Microsoft® Excel opens with the generated wash codes that are valid immediately.
In Microsoft Excel, on the File menu, select Save As.
  7. Customers cannot redeem wash codes at the Auto Sentry® until you adjust the Auto Sentry site level settings.

NOTES:

  • Customers cannot redeem wash codes at the Auto Sentry until technical support sets up the Main Options.
  • If the site allows both 5-digit and 6-digit wash codes, and the customer only enters 5-digits, contact ICS technical support to enter a 5 Digit Wash Code Timeout setting. This setting is the number of seconds to wait for the customer to enter the 6th digit, typically 5 seconds.

Tip: Contact ICS Inside Sales or Technical Support to purchase barcoded wash codes that can be printed on Avery labels or sent to you in an electronic formatted file. You can also purchase mailers or wash code cards that can be designed by the ICS Graphics Team. ICS is your comprehensive Sales and Advertising source.
