About Straight Commission

These instructions are for Straight Commision only.

From the Commissions menu, you can setup a straight commission position.

  1. Positions - Defines what (Straight and/or Schedule) Commissions an employee in the position is able to receive, and tie any Eligibility Rules (requirements) needed to be eligible to receive that commission. For Straight Commissions, list the PLU numbers and if any requirement needs to be made.
  2. Schedules - Not used for Straight Commission. Define what metrics are used to calculate the commission.

Example: creating a schedule that awards a commission of 1% of extra sales, but if the extra sales total goes over $1,000 the percentage changes to 3%.

  1. Eligibility Rules - Not used for Straight Commission. Defines any requirements that must be met to be eligible for a commission.

Example: creating a rule that would require $100 in Upgrades being sold before awarding a commission, or require a specific number of cars sold.

Prerequisites

Either an eligibility rule and/or schedule needs to be tied to a commission position. If using straight commissions, commission values need to be entered in the desired PLUs in Sales Items before they can be added to the position. This position must be assigned to a User’s profit center where they are clocked into when selling items from a point of sale.
