If a customer’s card is not working, or if the reader cannot read the vehicle's RFID tag, then the ICS Admin Card card can be used as a manual entry backup to process the sale for the customer,
To use the ICS Admin Card, follow these steps:
- On the Auto Sentry, the wash manager inserts their ICS Admin Card in the Credit Card Reader and then removes it quickly.
An on-screen numeric keypad appears on the Auto Sentry.
- The wash employee will need to ask the customer for the tag number located on their RFID tag affixed to the windshield.
- The wash employee types in the RFID tag number on the on-screen keypad.
When the system matches the number, the club name for the customer is displayed in the upper right corner of the screen.
- When the applicable wash services offerings appear, the customer may proceed with their purchase options.
This allows proper validation for the customer in the WashConnect system instead of just raising the gate and giving a free wash.
