License Plate Number Correction

Plates will need to be verified for all new first visit club customers and for customers who are renewing or are redeeming a club if their plate has not been verified by them previously at the Auto Sentry.

NOTE: This is also dependent on WashConnect versions, so it is possible that the customer will never have to verify the plate if the text matches a plate in WashConnect.

  1. Customer needs to verify the license plate photograph matches the digital license plate number below the photograph.

Customer taps the green Yes, license plate is correct button.

-or-

Customer taps the red No, Need to change some characters button.

When the customer’s License Plate Number is valid in the system, the transaction will process and a receipt will print.

 

 

Correcting License Plate Number

  1. When the customer taps“NO...”, an on-screen keyboard will pop up and they will have to touch the character they want to change and select a new character on the keyboard, then the character will turn red.
  2. After customer corrects the necessary characters, they can tap the Enter on the on-screen keyboard.
    If the customer’s license plate number is not a valid number in the system, the message License Plate is Not in Database appears, and they will need to purchase a wash or club membership.

 


CORRECTION NOTES:

  • If the plate text shown does not match the customers physical plate, which is also shown, they would need to correct the plate.
  • Character changes are limited by settings in WashConnect.
  • The max number of characters that the setting can be configured to is 3.
  • Currently a customer is unable to add or remove a character. An attendant will need to assist the customer with an admin card if this happens.
  • If the plate was obscured or missed by the LPR system an attendant will need to use the admin card and enter the license plate in manually.
