Journal Action Descriptions

Every line in the Journal is considered one journal entry. The Action column shows what activity occurred for any journal entry. The following table describes each of the possible activities or movements that can appear in the Action column for any journal entry:

Action Column

Description

Add

Amount of money added to a device.

Beginning Balance

The beginning amount of cash in a specified component, i.e. Bill Acceptor, in a device for that shift.

Beginning Bank

The beginning bank of the shift for a device.

Convert

Indicates a journal entry used to convert currency (Safe to Bank or Bank to Safe).

Deposit

Amount of money deposited to the bank.

Ending Bank

The ending bank of the shift for a device.

Ending Balance

The ending balance of a specific component, for example, Bill Acceptor, in a device for that shift.

Modify Dispenser

A journal action that is marked as edited.

Remove

Amount of money removed from a device.

Verify

Journal entry has been verified by the user.

Performed by                         This user performed the journal action for the journal record.
